Have you ever dreamed of blogging but enjoyed the journey?

You are not alone. Many aspiring ideasforeurope bloggers share the desire to turn their passion into a full-time career, but the road to achieving that goal often seems difficult.

Dream of blogging full-time

I was talking to a blogger who was excited to start a live blog last night.

I asked them how much they wanted to earn from blogging.

They replied that they wanted to become full-time bloggers.

Click for the image. What does "full-time" mean to you?

They think for a moment and say they can live on $30,000 a year (note: they don't mind earning more, but they can quit their current job for that).

Blogging for $30,000 a year sounds like a lot, especially if you're just starting out and want to make another dollar.

Turn stress into work.

If you're in the same boat and feel like you've hit a wall in your blogging journey, here are three important steps to help you navigate.

1. Don't quit your job...yet

Blogging for $30,000 a year is possible, but it requires patience and realism. Overnight success is rare in the blogging world.

2. Establish clear and specific objectives

Saying you want to be a full-time blogger is a big goal, but for him, it's not enough, the whole program costs $30,000, for others it could be more or less, money doesn't matter, the most important thing is that you need something more tangible to measure your position.

When I decided to become a full-time blogger, I decided to make $50,000 a year ($50,000 at the time was about $36,000) working full-time, which is what I would make at my main job (of course I worked). in various part-time jobs, and also studied part-time).

Knowing what I wanted to do helped me reach my goal in many ways.

3. Break your goals down into more achievable goals

If you are a new blogger, $30,000 still seems like a lot, and somehow there are different ways to think about this picture.

  • $30,000 per year = $576.92 per week

  • $30,000 per year = $82.19 per day

  • $30,000 per year = $3.42 per hour

We can break it down into months or minutes if we want (I do that for fun every now and then), but exercise really helps you see your bigger goal as more attainable if you're willing to break it down.

Well, another method I find very useful is to build my goal around what I need to do to achieve it. As for me, I tend to look at the daily number, in this case, $82.19.

What do I need to do to earn $82.19 a day ($30,000 a year)?

Well, there are many ways, let's look at some of them.

  • CPC Ads: On our blog, we mainly use AdSense and let's say the average click pays 5 cents. That equates to 1,643 clicks on an AdSense ad (note: AdSense also allows CPM ads, so it's no exaggeration to say you need 1,643 clicks...but let's keep it simple).

  • CPM Ads: Let's say we run CPM ads on our blog and get 2 CPM per ad unit and 3 ads per page (ie 6 CPM per page). That means we need 13,000 page views.

  • Monthly Sponsorship: One way to sell ads directly to advertisers is to sell ads monthly to earn $30,000 a year in advertising. You can get 6 ads on your blog for $416.66 per month.

  • Low Commission Affiliate Products: Let's say you promote affiliate products from a site like Amazon and your commissions average 40 cents per sale to earn $82.19, you would need to sell 205 products.

  • High Commission Affiliate Products: In this case, you can promote eBooks and earn $8 per copy (that's what you earn by selling my eBook for 31 DBB per commission). You should be selling about 10 ebooks a day.

  • High commission membership products: Of course, eBooks aren't the most important product you can promote. There are hundreds of products for sale, for example, take the one that costs $300 for a year's membership.

  • Sell Your Ebook - You have your own product, maybe you need to sell cheap or expensive products at least 4 times a day for $19.95 per sale.

Of course, there are many other ways to make money blogging: subscriptions, donations, paid reviews, selling yourself as a consultant, and more. You can make money according to your style.

I know some of the above numbers are not yet available to bloggers. 1,643 clicks on an AdSense ad sounds great for a new blogger... and it is, but remember you can combine some of the above (I recommend splitting your income).

You can run two ad networks on your website, advertise for Amazon affiliates, sell an e-book, and promote someone's affiliate course.

Consider sources of income.

When I started blogging full-time, sharing my income through AdSense, Chitika, direct ad sales, Amazon affiliate sales, and other commissions, it took me over two years to reach my goal of AUD$50,000 per year, and during that time my total income looked like this (from memory):

  • AdSense is $35

  • The price is $20

  • Private ad for sale: $20

  • Amazon: $15

  • Other membership fees: $10

blogging income split

Note: I didn't get to this point until I had been blogging for over two years (the first year I wrote without trying to make money).

Take a flight

It didn't happen overnight (let me stress: blogging for money isn't fast and money isn't easy), but breaking things down into smaller chunks helped me stay motivated and decide what I needed to work on to reach my goals (and don't forget). Stick to your routine, persistence and a strategic approach are key).

Don't quit your day job (in fact, you might not even want to quit when you reach your goal—it's good to have a backup plan), but try to be specific about your blogging goals and break them down in a way that helps you move toward them.

Remember that blogging is a marathon, not a sprint. By setting clear goals, breaking down achievable goals, and diversifying your income streams, you can create a blog that not only meets your needs, but also provides you with a steady income, and each small success will bring you closer to your dream of full-time blogging.
